    About Justin

    As Principal and Managing Partner of Terch and Associates, Justin has been providing unparalleled HR expertise to organizations of all sizes for over 15 years.     Experience

    Previously, Justin served as Managing Investigator at a regional workplace investigation agency where he conducted and oversaw fraud and employee misconduct investigations. He has also served as an HR Director at numerous organizations including public and private entities. During that time, he managed 22 different collective bargaining units, oversaw a self-insured worker’s compensation program with $15M in active claims, successfully negotiated multi-million dollar settlements, and provided ongoing HR support for businesses from 5 to 1200 employees. Justin currently serves on the Minnesota Society of Human Resource Management (MNSHRM) and has been elected by his colleagues to serves as the State Director, MNSHRM’s Chief Executive Officer.  His leadership of 6,000 HR professionals in Minnesota allows him to build relationships with human resource professionals in nearly every type of organization. Justin serves in the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, mediating cases involving discrimination claims in employment under the Minnesota Human Rights Act and similar federal laws such as the ADA. From 2011-2022, Justin was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, teaching courses on Human Resources Management and Civil Law Mediation. Justin serves as Terch and Associates’ Qualified Representative to the Minnesota Board of Private Detectives and Protective Agents.  In this role he personally supervises all investigative work of the firm and ensures compliance with Minnesota laws and rules surrounding workplace investigations.
