On Thursday, December 12th please join us at the United Way of Northeastern MN in Chisholm for our last meeting of the year. For the last several years, the last meeting of the year has included a service project to give back to our communities. This year as part of our meeting we will stuffing Buddy Backpacks for the United Way! UWNEMN's Buddy Backpack program provides a backpack filled with nutritious, nonperishable, child-friendly food items to children who are at-risk of going hungry over the weekends due to various reasons.

Also, Derek DuSold, Behavioral Health Manager at Fairview Range will also be speaking about Mental Health in the Workplace.

About the presenter: 

Derek DuSold is a mental health nurse with over 10 years of leadership experience and 20 years of service in the healthcare field. his experience spans both acute mental health crises and trauma exacerbations, as well as sub-acute and long-term care environments focused on psychotherapy and coping skills development. He has spent his time in nursing leadership roles guiding multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings, blending frontline clinical expertise with a foundation in leadership, program development, and team management. As an educator, Derek actively instructs in Psychological First Aid, Hospital De-escalation and Physical Intervention, and Workplace Conflict Management programs.
